Simple Language Tests Understanding
Technical language is useful when it gives a precise name to a shared idea. It becomes less useful when the name replaces the explanation.
I test my understanding by removing the special vocabulary for a moment. Can I describe what changes, what stays the same, and why the result follows? Can I give a small concrete case? Can I name the limit of the explanation?
Simple language does not mean removing all detail. It means making the structure visible before adding the specialist terms back.
This habit also improves collaboration. A clear explanation gives other people something they can question. Dense language can create agreement too early because nobody wants to admit that the sentence is difficult to follow.
When the plain version is strong, the technical words become useful labels rather than hiding places.
