A Frame Is a Decision

· 1 MIN READ

A frame does not only show. It also removes.

Moving a camera a small distance can change the relationship between two shapes, hide a distraction, or make an empty area carry more weight. Waiting a few seconds can change the gesture of an animal or the way light sits on a surface.

This is why attention matters before equipment. The technical settings can make an image clear, but they cannot decide what deserves to remain inside it.

I find the same pattern in writing and software. A useful boundary gives meaning by choosing what belongs together and what stays outside. The edge is not an afterthought. It is part of the statement.
